William “Bill” Bryant Adams, Ponca City resident, died Sunday, June 12, 2005 at the Via Christi Oklahoma Regional Medical Center. He was 63.

The funeral service will be held at 3PM, Wednesday, June 15, 2005 at the Northeast Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Larry Nigh pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the directions of Trout Funeral Home.

Bill was born on July 3, 1941 to John Quincy Adams and Thelma (Howerton) Adams in Bell, CA. He attended schools in Bell Gardens, CA. At age 18 he moved to San Francisco where he married Edna Brown and started raising a family. He worked in the meat industry for many years. In 1977 the family made the move to Oklahoma where he worked in the trucking industry until 1981.Bill moved to Ponca City in 1983. He met Sharon Leaming in 1985 and they married on December 31, 1989 in Reno, NV. Bill was a business owner of A & H Painting which became Adams Interiors in 1995. Bill enjoyed golfing, hunting, and gardening but he especially loved cooking for his family and friends. Bill's door was always open and there was always room for one more. He was a member of Northeast Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife Sharon of the home; four children: John William Adams of Ponca City, OK, Elizabeth Jo Anne Fox and husband Rocky of Alva, OK, Angela Marie Norris and husband Rodney of Harrison, AK, and Julianna Christina Tapken and husband Jeff of Kimberling City, MO; five step-children: Shelly Sheik and husband Ronnie of Newkirk, OK, Mike Leaming and wife Carol of Newkirk, OK, Julie Vap and husband Daryl of Ponca City, OK, Nick Leaming of Ponca City, OK, and Keri Cuccaro of Ponca City, OK; 18 grandchildren; and one sister Miriam Peterson of San Francisco.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Edward Adams, and one brother-in-law Arthur (Art) Peterson.
