April 25, 1949 - August 29, 2022

Sheila Dian Montgomery, 73, of Dewey, OK, left this life on August 29, 2022, in Bartlesville, OK. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 3, 2022, at the Harmony Missionary Baptist Church, Ponca City, OK, with Jamey Wylie officiating. Inurnment will immediately follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Ponca City, OK. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W. Grand Ave., Ponca City, OK 74601.

Sheila was born on April 25th, 1949 in England, Arkansas, to James D. and Ruby (Stracener) Shaw. She married Raymond A. Luis on May 9, 1969 in Ponca City, OK, and they had 2 children, Amy and Shari. She later married Thomas M. Montgomery on June 2, 1979, in Ponca City, OK, and gained a son, Micky Montgomery. She held various administrative positions for the City of Ponca City, including Secretary for the City Manager. She ended her career at Conoco, where she worked in numerous departments including, Accounting, Computers, Medical and the Max Line before retiring in 1999 to spend more time with her family.

Sheila loved attending various sporting events and activities of her grandchildren. She also enjoyed bowling and spending time in South Fork, Colorado, fishing with her extended family.

Sheila is survived by: her husband, Tom of Dewey, OK; daughters, Amy LaSpisa and her husband, Joe, and Shari Baker both of Dewey, OK; son, Micky Montgomery and his wife, Cindy, of Keller, TX; grandchildren, Jacob and Rebecca Montgomery, Chase, Kate, and Jake LaSpisa, Brannon and KaSandra Adkins,Taber and Ryan Adkins, Kenlie Adkins, and Addie Baker; great-grandchildren,Oaklee, Kannon and Wiley Adkins; brothers, Danny Shaw and his wife, Judie, of Broken Arrow, OK, Joey Shaw and his wife, Patti, of Edmond, OK; sister, Cassandra Sutherland and her husband, Terry, of Richmond, TX, and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by her father, James D. Shaw; mother, Ruby Shaw; maternal grandparents, Jasper and Thelma Stracener; paternal grandparents, Carroll and Daisy Morris; beloved uncle, Tommy Stracener and beloved aunt, Bea (Wanda) Whiting.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in memory of Sheila Montgomery, to the Journey Home, 900 Washington Blvd, Bartlesville, OK 74006.
