July 20, 1952 - January 21, 2025
Richard Duane Lockhart, 72, of Ponca City, OK, died on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at NewPoint Church with Kyle Megenity officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W. Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK, 74601.
Richard was born on Sunday, July 20, 1952, in Shidler, OK, to Harold Emery and Betty (Annis) Lockhart. After high school, Richard joined the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam Conflict, and was part of Platoon 2626. He married the love of his life, sweetheart Kathleen Meyers on November 2, 2002, in Ponca City, OK. He was also a plumber/pipefitter/welder, belonging to Local Union 767. He was a proud 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason.
Richard is survived by: his wife, Kathleen of the home; daughters, Susan Lockhart of Newkirk, OK, Holly Ann Begs-His-Own and her husband, Joe, of Tonkawa, OK, Diana Bay and her husband, Jeff, of Belleville, IL, Leauna Barnes and her husband, James, of Ponca City, OK, Rachel Hawk and her husband, Cody, of Enid, OK, Holly Marie Lowrey and Chris of Ponca City, OK, Courtney Warrior and her husband, Brady, of Ponca City, OK; 22 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brother, Harold Lockhart and his wife, Delores of Purcell, OK; sister, Becky Conner of Yukon, OK and his dog and companion Buddy.
Richard is preceded in death by: his daughter, Christina Marie Lockhart, his parents, Harold and Betty Lockhart, and brother, Ronnie Lee Lockhart.
