Kenneth Evans
February 12, 1941 - January 24, 2025
Kenneth Walter Evans was born February, 12th 1941 to Lawrence Walter Evans and Allie May Snodgrass Evans. He was raised in the Old Bliss township. Kenneth was employed at many places in his 83 years, including 22 years at Smith Gruner as shipping supervisor and 12 years for Noble County District 1 as a road grader operator. His favorite job was being a farmer and rancher. Kenneth was a skilled welder and made custom horse trailers for many years. He enjoyed rodeos, going on trail rides and announcing at shodeos. One can't count how many kids and greenhorns he stuck on a horse and taught how to ride. When he drove a team of mules, his wagon was always full of happy trail riders and he loved every minute of it. He was also very fond of his horses and his mules. He enjoyed going out to check the cows and feed. Now, hay hauling was a different story. He was involved with the Marland Round Up Club and at the time of his death, he was president of the 101 Old Timers Association.
Survivors are his wife, Patty Evans, children, Walter (Lynn) Evans, Carl (Joyce) Evans, Tammy (Todd) Polk, Brandie McCandless, Rennie (Diane) James, Lennie James, Shawne (Paul Jay) Fulsom and Pam James; and sister, Arleta Pulliam. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Catherine Robinson, brothers-in law, John Pulliam, and Mickey Robinson, daughters, Karen Evans and Nona Patrick, and son, Donnie James.
