August 15, 1928 - July 18, 2025

Harold A. Dobbs, 96, of Ponca City, OK, passed away Friday, July 18, 2025. Funeral service will be at Trout Funeral Home Chapel, Monday, July 21, 2025 at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W. Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK, 74601.

Harold was born in Braman, OK, on August 15, 1928, and was raised in Blackwell, OK. Harold married Donna Mason in 1968, they were married 56 years. Harold was preceded in death by: his parents; two sisters, Durella Jenkins, and LaVera Cole; and one brother, Harlan Dobbs.

He has three daughters, Diana Linton of Ponca City, OK, Barbara Altman of Omaha, NE and Rhonda Wilson of Glenpool, OK. He has three stepchildren, Dale Mason of Ponca City, OK, Terry Williamson of Sarasota, FL, and Lori Weeks of Bayard, IA, 12 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.

Harold started his career at MaBell Telephone Company and retired from Southwestern Bell in 1985. After retirement Harold and Donna moved to Golden, MO, where they had a home on Table Rock Lake for many years.

Harold was a master craftsman in home remodeling and was always working with his hands. He made many pieces of furniture, embroidered, rug hooked, and was a wood carver. He belonged to a wood carvers' group where he learned the art of wood carving, and made many pieces as gifts for family and friends. He loved playing games; including dominos and card games every chance he got. He also enjoyed gardening and loved helping people.
