Nancy was born to her parents, Wilma LaBerta (Ramsey) Pulliam and John Everett Pulliam on July 25, 1943. Nancy grew up side by side with her older brother and sister, John David and Sarah Lynn Pulliam.
An accomplished swimmer with the Conoco Aquatic Club, Nancy had an impressive career, winning numerous medals including 1st place in the 100 yard backstroke in her senior year at the state meet. The crowning glory of her swimming career was a national medal in the 400 medley relay which she anchored. She graduated from Ponca City High School in 1961.
Five short years later, she married the love of her life, Alan Crockett in 1966. Nancy enjoyed being a mother to her two girls, Tamara Beth and Camille Leann, whom she quickly introduced to swimming, spending many hours at swim meets across the state. She later helped coach junior swimmers to keep up with the sport.
When her daughters were older, Nancy took on a job in the time department at the Conoco refinery before retiring in 2004. Nancy enjoyed having ample time to attend ball games and activities with her grandkids, quilt, and tend to her impressive flower garden while also taking good care of the neighborhood cats. Nancy and her husband, Alan, spent many nights playing dominos with good friends.
Until her death in 2026, Nancy continued to love her family and others well, known to many as just "Jo." By her own profession, she lived a full and wonderful life.
