Susan Lorene Anderson
April 21, 1950 - March 6, 2026

Susan Lorene (Ellis) Anderson, 75, of Ponca, OK, died with her son on Friday, March 6th, 2026. A Graveside Celebration of Life will be held, 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 19th, at Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W. Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK, 74061.

Susan was born on April 21st, 1950 in Blackwell, OK, to Robert and Billie (Sherrill) Ellis. She loved being a homemaker, hairdresser, but most importantly a mother to her son! Susan spent her life making an impact on people as a hairdresser and owned her own salon for many years.

As a salon owner, Susan also spent time teaching and traveling to help others learn her gifts, with some opening their own salons, continuing her legacy. She loved owning her own business and spent as much time making people look beautiful as she did chasing her son out of the salon, Rob and his friends loved it too. She helped start Blue Star Mother's for the military out of Ponca City that fed our troops, including her nephew Ryan while deployed overseas.

When not working or watching Rob play baseball, Susan enjoyed her family all being together, cooking, and winning at any card game she taught us to play. Susan was a member of the Moose Lodge, loved winning at bingo, and spending time at the lake. Susan loved helping and spending time with her family yet, nothing compared to Her love for Her son. Rob was Her greatest accomplishment, watching him grow up on the baseball field and supporting his dreams, were Her greatest pastimes. She will forever be missed and loved by all who had the pleasure of being a part of her life!

Susan is survived by: siblings, Sherrill Meyer of Perkins, OK. Michael Ellis of Claremore, OK, Robert Ellis, Jr. of Edmond, OK, and Kim Johnson of Derby, KS. She also is survived by numerous nieces and nephews from her siblings and their children. She was preceded in death by her parents.
