The Obituary of Dr. Ahmad Saleh Agha

Dr. Ahmad Saleh Agha passed away on September 26th, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of a dedicated and compassionate pediatrician who served the community of Ponca City and the surrounding areas for forty-six years.

Dr. Agha was born in Palestine, lived in Lebanon, and migrated to the United States in June 1976. He joined the Pediatrics Department as a resident at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. By August 1978, he partnered with Dr. Jane Thomason, and their practice later expanded to include Dr. Michael Walker and Dr. Peter Sinton.

Dr. Agha was beloved by the Ponca City community, which welcomed him with open arms. Although he was living in Port St. Lucie, Florida, his Will instructed that his final resting place be in Ponca City next to his late wife Samira Agha, because he considered Ponca City his hometown.

Dr. Agha was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers. He is survived by three sisters, five brothers, his second wife Fayrouz Hakkani, his three children, Sherene Agha, Malak Stewart, Lieutenant Commander Bilal Agha, USN, his son-in-law Harry Stewart II, and his wonderful daughter-in-law, Commander Kelly Agha, USN. He was blessed with seven grandchildren: Mahmoud, Malik, Laya-Noelle, Zackariah, Leena, Makai, and Senna. Additionally, he is survived by his stepson Ali, his stepdaughter Leyla, and his step-grandson Harry III.

Funeral services will be held at the Carl Renfro Center, initiated by Imam Imad Enchassi. Graveside services will be at Resthaven Cemetery, then immediately following, a reception at the Carl Renfro Center.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the hospice of Ponca City.

Casket bearers are Bilal Agha, Ali Daouk, Mahmoud Taleb, and Malik Taleb.

Services will be held on Monday, October 6, 2025 at the following venues;

12:00 Funeral Service & Janazza Prayer at Carolyn Renfro Event Center 445 Fairview Avenue Ponca City, OK 74601

1:00 Burial at Resthaven-Sunset Memorial Parks 1901 East Hubbard Road Ponca City, OK 74604

2:00-4:00 Post-Funeral Reception at Carolyn Renfro Event Center 445 Fairview Avenue Ponca City, OK 74601
