Patrick Dwayne Williams, former resident of the Ponca City area, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2012 in Oklahoma City. He was 51 years of age.

Patrick was born March 20, 1961 in Talihina, Oklahoma, the son of Paige Arthur Williams and Ardena Clark Williams. He earned his GED while living in Dallas, Texas, and then earned an Associate Degree in 1986 from the Haskell Indian College, Lawrence, Kansas. He was married to Sophina Buffalohead on February 24, 1996 in Ponca City. He was a printer by trade. He was a member of the El Reno Indian Baptist Church. Patrick was a full time grandpa and his enjoyments were taking care of his granddaughter, fishing, Native American activities, working in the yard and being a handyman.

He is survived by his wife, Sophina, of the home one stepson, Todd Roy and wife, Emily, of El Reno one brother, Les Williams, his wife Hilda and their son, C.J., all of Marland one sister, Lisa Williams of Newkirk five grandchildren, Lindsay Roy, Malaki Nevaquaya, Joshua Nevaquaya Jr., Elloitt Eagle Jr. and Skyla Kelly. He is also survived by four aunts, Beverly Picotte, Maxine Thompson, Beulah Sherron and Oresa McKnight and three uncles, Curtis Williams, Jimmy Williams and Zack Williams. He was preceded in death by his parents a twin sister, Patricia Elayne Williams one grandson, Micah Nevaquaya.

Prayer services will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, July 15, 2012 at the Ponca Indian Baptist Church. A noon meal will be served on Monday, July 16, 2012 at the church with the funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. Rev. Tom Straka of the El Reno Indian Baptist Church will preside, assisted by Ponca Indian Baptist Church Pastor, Clifford Springwater and Bro. Doug Eagle. Burial will follow in the Ponca Tribal Cemetery under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.
