November 20, 1971 - December 5, 2021

Randolph J Williamson, lifelong resident of Ponca City, Oklahoma, left this physical world for his heavenly home on Sunday December 5, 2021 in Tulsa, Oklahoma surrounded by his family. His last gift was organ donation and at St. John’s Hospital a “Donation Flag” was flown for 24 hours in Randy’s honor.

Randy was born November 20, 1971 in Ponca City, Oklahoma to loving parents Robert J. and Mary (Warrior) Williamson. He was named after his maternal Uncle Randy Redleaf. He spent his childhood surrounded by a multitude of family and attended school within the Ponca City School System. In High School, he excelled within the Wildcat football program, until a knee injury prevented him from continuing to play a sport that he loved.

Randy and the former Rhonda Dixon were married in Ponca City, Oklahoma and from this union they shared five children; Damien Goodman, Garry Goodman, Randolph Williamson II, Robert Williamson, and Ronny Williamson. Randy took pride in all of his sons.

Randy was a lover of music and enjoyed playing the guitar, especially the bass guitar. He was a member of the local band Ground Level. Ground Level was asked to be the opening act for the group “Indigenous” in the late 1990’s. Ground Level also played several local venues around the Ponca City area.

In addition to football, Randy loved most all sports. He himself was an athlete and was an avid fan of the University of Oklahoma’s football program and the Oklahoma City Thunder basketball team. He also loved golf and in his younger days enjoyed spending countless hours playing Frisbee Golf with his brother’s and friends.

Randy was a mechanic by trade, but was so handy that he could fix most anything. He was always ready and willing to help anyone who was in need. He also enjoyed splitting wood and developed a good clientele of faithful customers.

Randy was a proud member of the Ponca Tribe of Oklahoma, coming from the Warrior and Whitestar families. His Ponca name “Máshtinska?” or “White Rabbit” was given to him by his Grandfather, Rev. Stanford Whitestar. He also descended from Old Man Yellowberry, WhiteTail, and Ponca Chief Standing Buffalo.

Randy is survived by five sons; Damien Lee Goodman, Garry Wayne Goodman, Randolph Joseph Williamson II, Robert Jesse Williamson, and Ronny James Williamson; three grandchildren Rena Jessah Williamson, Raylynn Rose Williamson, and Roland Lynn Warrior. Siblings and their spouses; Thomas (Tom) and Paula Williamson, Chris and Lesli Packhorse, Isabel and John Withey, and Sherry Williamson.

Randy was greeted in heaven by his parents Robert and Mary; paternal grandparents; Robert E. and Virginia Williamson and Virginia Matthews; maternal grandparents Fritz Preston and Letitia (Whitestar) Warrior; brother Robert E. (Bobby) Williamson; and nephew Anthony Veston Williamson.

An evening prayer service will be held Tuesday December 7, 2021 at the Ponca Tribal Cultural Center with Rev Jim White and Dr. Louis Headman officiating. A traditional noon meal will be held Wednesday December 8, 2021 followed by giveaway and services. Randy will be laid to rest at the Ponca Tribal Cemetery (The Hill).

Pallbearers will be Damien Lee Goodman, Garry Wayne Goodman, Randolph Joseph Williamson II, Robert Jesse Williamson, Ronny James Williamson, and Tyler Sean Williamson.

Honorary pallbearers are Leonard “Sonny” BigGoose, Chris ”Donut” Lobstein, and Jimmie “Stem” Sherron, and John V "Johnny" Withey.

Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK 74601.
