Yvonne April (Misasa) Warrior, Ponca City resident, passed away on September 24, 2012 at Ponca City Medical Center. She was 68 years old. Arrangements are made under the direction of Trout Funeral Home and Crematory. A funeral service will be held at Ponca Indian Baptist Church on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Doug Eagle, officiating. Burial will then follow at Ponca Indian Cemetery.

April was born on April 20, 1944 to Fritz Warrior and Josetta DeLodge in Pawnee, OK. She graduated from Chilocco Indian School in 1966. She later received her Associate’s Degree from Bacone College in Muskogee as an LPN, she later worked at Ponca City Nursing Home. She loved going to church and was a strong Christian woman. April was an excellent cook and was known for her pies. She also enjoyed bead work.

She is survived by her daughter Josetta and her husband Allen Jackson of Shawnee, OK and their children; Damaris Vasquez, Alonso Vasquez, Tyee Jackson, Kallen Jackson. Son, Floyd and his wife Katt Roubideaux of Red Rock, OK and their children; Marlene Tequila Enloe and Robert James Enloe. Her brother, Raymond DeLodge and sister, Gail DeLodge of the home. Rowena DeLodge, Theodore James and Conner James of Tulsa, OK. Sisters, Effie D. Hardman of Anchorage, Alaska, Kathleen Shea of Lawrence, KS, Darlene DeLodge of Ponca City, OK; Stephanie Sisco of Ponca City, OK; Jessica Clark of Livingston, TX; Pearline DeLodge and Monica DeLodge Biggoose both of Ponca City, OK. Brothers, Quinton DeLodge and Dwight DeLodge of Ponca City, OK. And numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by Thomas Leonard, Billy Spotted Bear, Louis DeLodge, Melvin DeLodge, Malburn DeLodge, Oresa Overland, Grace Buffalohead, Johnell DeLodge, Juanita DeLodge, Josephine DeLodge, Margaret DeLodge, and one great granddaughter, Kocompv (Star) Vasquez.
