Angeline "Angie" (Kemble) Soudry

Angeline “Angie” Kemble Soudry, resident of Midwest City and former Ponca City area resident, passed away Thursday, September 11, 2008 in Wichita, Kansas. She was 54.

Angie was born February 26, 1954 in Pawnee, Oklahoma, the daughter of Edmond Steven Kemble and Rita Mae (Roy) Kemble. She attended the Chilocco Indian School.She was married to Larry Soudry on October 12, 1979 in Ponca City. Angie was a homemaker that enjoyed cooking, knitting, sewing and especially enjoyed being around her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Larry, of the home; two children, Cubbie Kemble and Carrie Soudry; four grandchildren, Cambrea Soudry, Alias Soudry, Charish Pappan and Cordell Kemble; five brothers and sisters, Kenneth Kemble, Ellis May Kemble, Miles Kemble, Steven Kemble Sr. and Michele Kemble; nieces and nephews, Jonathan Thomas, Randy Kemble, Steven Kemble Jr., Jason Kemble, Jerry Chase The Bear, Cubbie Kemble, Newton Kemble Jr., Kevin Kemble, Kenny Kemble, Delano Kemble, Hayz Kemble, Shawn Washington, René Pappan, Leah Kemble, Lindsey Camp, Lacy Camp, Michelle Kemble and Kaylea Kemble.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one infant son, Dustin Lawrence Soudry; one sister, Gwen Sparkle Kemble; one brother, Newton Kemble Sr. and one nephew, Alan Kemble.

Prayer services will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday evening, September 13th, at the Ponca Indian Baptist Church. A traditional noon meal will be served on Sunday, September 14, 2008 at the Ponca Indian Baptist Church with the funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. Paul Graham and Doug Eagle presiding. Burial will be in the Ponca Tribal Cemetery under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.

Casket bearers will be Jonathan Thomas, Randy Kemble, Kenny Kemble, Delano Kemble, Hayz Kemble and Jerry Chase The Bear. Honorary casket bearers will be Cubbie Kemble, Steven Kemble Jr., Jason Kemble, Newton Kemble Jr., Kevin Kemble and Shawn Washington.
