Geraldine Hardman Primeaux, 92 of Ponca City has gone to heaven. She was born to John Hardman and Stella Yellowberry on the Ponca Reservation on April 29, 1927. She attended Pawnee Indian School also knows as “Gravy U”. She also attended Haskell College in Lawrence Kansas. She worked as a cook and driver for the Ponca Womens Services. She enjoyed listening to Christian music and cooking for her family. She was descended from Yellowberry and was the oldest Yellowberry alive. She met and married her sweetheart, Lancelot Primeaux, Sr and together they raised a large happy family.

A traditional Tribal Funeral Service will begin with a noon feast at the Ponca Indian Methodist Church of White Eagle. Pastor Jim White will officiate. Casket bearers will include the grandsons of Geraldine Primeaux Yellowberry descendants. Honorary bearers are Dustin Driggers, Dawayne Driggers, Nathan LeClaire and Dalton LeClaire. Burial will follow at the Ponca Indian Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, six daughters Imogene Primeaux Calls Him, Rosanna Primeaux, Motiva Primeaux, Gerry Ann Morgan, Bernadette Morgan, and Elizabeth Primeaux, two sons Elwood Primeaux and Lancelot Primeaux, Jr.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her sons John Primeaux of Miami, OK, Dane Primeaux of Ponca City, OK, Roswell Primeaux of Ponca City, OK, Mitchell Primeaux of Florida and Darrion Morgan of Seminole, OK.
