Amelia Louise Johnson died Saturday, November 8th, in Enid, Okla., at the age of 67. She was born in Blackwell, Okla. to Isaiah and Frances Wilson Williams, the youngest of three children.

Amelia is survived by her husband of 38 years, Wendell Johnson of Enid her mother, Frances Williams of Enid her four daughters: Cynthia Walker, of Allen, Tx. Kimberly Haws, of Bartlesville, Okla. Chantel Wolff, of Edmond, Okla. and Wendy Jones, of Enid, Okla. her eight grandchildren her brother, Gilmore Williams of Tahlequah, Okla. her sister, Josephine Williams of Blanchard, Okla. and many other relatives.

She is preceded in death by her father, Isaiah Isaac Williams, and two grandchildren, Marion Wade and Tia Ann Williamson.

Amelia was a devoted and beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and sister full of kindness, compassion, and generosity. She enjoyed movies, music, card games, and long car rides. She always thought of others before she thought of herself, and found more joy in giving than receiving. She was always much stronger, more wise, and more talented than she gave herself credit for.

Amelia grew up in Enid, and was a former member of the National Association of Rudimental Drummers, and was a member of the Legionettes, sponsored by the American Legion, an allfemale drum corps. She worked for many years as a waitress, and met her husband while working at the Wagon Wheel restaurant in 1971. They married on Dec. 18th 1975 at The Little White Chapel in Las Vegas. She also sold Avon products for several years and achieved the Presidents Club in sales.

Amelia will be greatly missed by all who loved her smile and her strength.

Wake Services will be 7 p.m., Monday, November 10, 2014, Traditional meal at Noon on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 with Funeral services following at 2pm all at Ponca Indian Baptist Church in White Eagle, Okla. Burial will follow in the Ponca Tribal Cemetery.
