Marcena Joy MiGahShoThey Headman, 56, of Ponca City, OK, passed away, Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at the Purcell Municipal Hospital in Purcell, OK.

Born on January 24, 1956 in Pawnee, OK to Isaac and Patricia Collins Headman. Granddaughter of Kenneth and Katherine Headman and William and Martha Collins. Marcena was a descendant of the ThiXiDah clan of the Ponca Nation. Marcena was a lifelong area resident attending school in Ponca City and the Chilocco Indian School. Marcena was baptized as a young girl in the Ponca Indian Baptist Church.

Marcena is survived by her children Virginia Kathleen Wilson, Isaac Glenn Headman, Kennis Lee Headman, Patrick Glenn Roland, Jessica Diane Colburn, Tyrus D. Roland and Tyrone D. Roland. Brothers and sisters Kathleen Taylor, Kennis Headman, Timothy Headman, Moses Headman, Virginia Cook and Arthur Cerre. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers sisters Helen Headman, Tina Joy Headman and Joey Headman.

Evening services will be Thursday 7:00 pm., Traditional Feast will be served at Noon on Friday with funeral services beginning at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 30, 2012 at the Ponca Indian Baptist Church with Rev. Clifford Springwater, Brother Doug Eagle and Rev. Louis Headman officiating. Casket Bearers will be Dustin Kent, Josh Cook, Charley Steeprock, Billy Ray Wilson, Johnny Cook and Johnson K. Taylor. Burial will follow in the Ponca Tribal Indian Cemetery of White Eagle, OK.
