Faith Lucy Standsblack Headman went to be with our Father in heaven on Tuesday, April 20, 2010. She was 55.

She was born on February 5, 1955 in Omaha, Nebraska the daughter of the late Clarence and Marilyn Standsblack. She went to school at McKinley, East Junior High, Chilocco Indian School and Haskell. Faith worked several jobs and enjoyed working. She also enjoyed going to the casino and spending time with family and her dear friend Mary. She lived in Lawrence, Kansas for several years as well as Mission, South Dakota. She returned home to Ponca City to be with her family. Faith later married Kennis Headman on November 2, 1995.

She is survived by her husband, Kennis Headman of the home two sons, Zane Standsblack of Del City, Oklahoma and Darrell Leighton of Albuquerque, New Mexico one brother, Clarence Standsblack of Gaithersburg, Maryland one sister, Antionette Tillman and husband, Frank of Fort Washakie, Wyoming several nieces and nephews 14 grandsons seven granddaughters and one great granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents five sisters one granddaughter and one nephew.

Casket bearers for the service will be Zane Standsblack, Darrell Leighton, Branden Standsblack, Gayno Standsblack, Marko Standsblack and Rosendo Standsblack. Honorary casket bearers are Vincent Gutierrez, Jaime Gutierrez, Shadow Ra Standsblack, Jaden Standsblack, Savion Standsblack, Keifer Standsblack, Seth Standsblack and Jesus D. Quiroz.

Evening prayer services will be held at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 21, 2010 and Thursday, April 22, 2010 at the Ponca Indian Methodist Church. The traditional feast will be on Friday, April 23, 2010 at the Ponca Indian Methodist Church followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Ponca Tribal Cemetery under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.
