Raymond Harjo "Tim" Geimausaddle

Raymond “Tim” Harjo Geimausaddle, resident of Ponca City, left this world to be with our Lord on Tuesday, December 23, 2008. He was 50.

Raymond was born the son of Robert Geimausaddle and Ruth Tyndall on January 4, 1958 in Pawnee, Oklahoma. Tim graduated from Chilocco Indian School in 1975. He entered the United States Marine Corps in 1976 and faithfully served until his discharge in 1979. After military service, he attended Okmulgee State Tech, Oscar Rose Junior College and the University of Oklahoma. At OU Tim majored in Art and Native American Studies. Tim was an accomplished artist, with many of his works on display in professional offices, galleries, museums and hospitals. A documentary was televised on PBS showing his outstanding artwork. Tim also illustrated a Native American textbook published by OU.

Tim’s favorite pastimes included noodling, hunting, playing horseshoes and pool. He also loved horses. Tim was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Tim is survived by his wife of 22 years, Darlene Pensoneau Harjo of the home; one daughter, Tammy Kay Harjo, of Ponca City, Oklahoma; siblings, Eli Page, Carolyn Page, Denise Page, Dennis Page, Danny Lee Page, Tomasita Roubedeaux, Pauline Chama, Paul Chama, Maria Chama, Robert Crosby and Barbara Jones; numerous nieces and nephews; grandchildren; and four step-children.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his younger sister, Ruthie Page.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 28, 2008 at the Ponca Tribal Cemetery under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be held at Grace Memorial Chapel. A memorial dinner will be announced at a later date.
