Shon Matthew DeLodge passed away Friday morning, January 24, 2020 at the age of 20 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born to Carl Freeman DeLodge and Roberta “Jean” Roy on November 4, 1999 in Ponca City, Oklahoma.

Traditional Tribal Services will be held in Shon’s honor. His services will conclude Monday with the Noon Feast held at the Ponca Indian Cultural Center, followed by the Funeral at the Ponca Indian United Methodist Church and placement in the Ponca Indian Cemetery. Pastor Jim White will be presiding over the services. Pallbearers will be; Carl DeLodge, Sr, Carl “CJ” DeLodge, Jr, Trelon DeLodge, Darrell Lee DeLodge, Brandon Rhodd, Kevin Kemble, Jr, Garrett James Poore, and Elijah Johnson. Honorary Bearers include; Quintin DeLodge, Kevin Rhodd, Brenton Carney, Fred Warrior, Jr, Ean DeLodge, Talon DeLodge, Tony DeLodge, Jaje DeLodge, Mark Roy, Joel Perez-Vargas, Lemuel Rhodd IV and Cornelius LeClair Jr.

Shon will be remembered for his winning smile and joyful attitude. He was always happy, kind, polite, respectful, outgoing and adventurous. Shon enjoyed watching the Oklahoma City Thunder games and wrestling. He played football with the Bulldogs while growing up and won a Championship ring when he was in the 7th grade. He studied carpentry after high school and learned many skills in the craft.

Shon is survived by his father; Carl Freeman DeLodge, mother; Jean Roy, siblings; Rebecca DeLodge, Turner DeLodge, CJ DeLodge, Trelon DeLodge, Darrell Lee DeLodge, and Garrett James Poore, grandmothers; Beverly Brown, Darlena Rose DeLodge, Liz Roy, Annabelle Roy, Monica DeLodge and Anita Lindell, grandfathers; Jobo Quintin and Raymond DeLodge, aunts; Arlena Roy, Carlene Rhodd, Candice Rhodd, Carla Carney, Mattie Biggoose Walker and Gail DeLodge, uncles; Gabe Dole and Eagle Rhodd, nieces; Cylena Ray DeLodge and Tavia DeLodge, cousins; Elijah Johnson, Seneca Roy, Laurencia LeClair and Eleeza Johnson.

He is preceded in death by his great grandmother; Annabelle HC Eagle Littlehoe, great grandmother; Margaret DeLodge, grandmother; Rebecca Roy, grandfathers; Robert Roy, Leonard Biggoose and Lester Biggoose, aunt; Carleda Rhodd and uncle; Melvin DeLodge and Brandon Matthew Brown.
