February 16, 1970 ~ February 21, 2022

Lonnie Primeaux, 52, was called to his eternal resting place on February 21, 2022. He entered this world on February 16, 1970, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma born to Curtis and Betty (Whitaker) Primeaux.

He attended Ponca City Schools all his life and lived in Ark City, Kansas for a short time as well as Ponca City. He said he enjoyed his time spent in Ark City. Lonnie also enjoyed the guitar and liked rock and heavy metal music. He was a dog lover and also enjoyed tattoos. Lonnie loved being and working outdoors and worked in construction.

Lonnie is survived by his brothers: Chris Primeaux, Curtis Primeaux Jr., Robert Primeaux, Herbert Primeaux, Alson Primeaux and his sisters: Edna Primeaux, Cara Primeaux, Crystal Counselor, Ernasten Primeaux, and Joy Primeaux.

He was preceded in death by his longtime companion Vicki Bussey, his parents, his brother Sonny Blast, grandfather Joy Primeaux, grandmother Edna Littledance-Waters, aunt Sheree Wedell-Counselor, grandfather Donald Edwin Wedell, and his grandmother Evangeline Littledance Wedell who helped raise him.

Lonnie will lie in state at the Ponca Tribal Cultural Center on Wednesday, February 23rd at 3 p.m. and will have evening services starting at 7 p.m. HIs funeral service will be on Thursday, February 24th, at 2 p.m. following the traditional noon feast with Pastor Jim White and Reverend Dr. Louis Headman officiating. Burial will follow immediately after at the Ponca Indian Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be: Chris Primeaux, Curtis Primeaux Jr. Robert Primeaux, Herbert Primeaux, Elliot Eagle, Greg Brown, Brandon Ebert, and Jerald Counselor.

Honorary casket bearers are: Archie Eagle, Anson Littlewalker, and Alson Primeaux.
