July 8, 1946 ~ December 22, 2021

Ava Eileen Pewewardy, age 75, passed away on the evening of December 22, 2021 in Grand Prairie, TX surrounded by her loving family. She was brought into the world on July 8, 1946 at Pawnee Indian Hospital in Pawnee, OK to Augustine Little Warrior and Woodrow Kent.

Ava was a driven student and attended Riverside Indian High School where she was a cheerleader and the president of her senior class. She also earned her Associates Degree in English alongside her husband, Michael, from Oklahoma State Institute of Technology while taking care of her two daughters, Taryn and Shannon. Her children and grandchildren could always find her voraciously reading, enjoying Dallas Cowboys football games, watching cooking shows, or reminiscing about past memories with anyone that was near. Ava's infectious laugh, clever comebacks and vivid family stories will be missed by all.

Ava is preceded in death by her mother, Augustine Little Warrior, her father, Woodrow Kent, her brothers, Dakota and Solon Kent, her husband, Michael Pewewardy, and her son, John Michael Pewewardy.
