Ponca Tribal Cemetery



Victor Buffalohead, 62, of Ponca City,OK, left this life on June 24, 2022, in Waukegan, IL. Following the traditional noon feast, a Funeral Ceremony will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, July 1, 2022, at the Ponca Tribal Cultural Center. Burial will immediately follow at the Ponca Tribal Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W. Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK 74601.

Victor was born on April 14, 1960, in Ponca City,OK, to Melvin and Esther (Parker) Buffalohead. Victor married Olivia Harjo on May 22, 2004, in White Eagle, OK. Victor was a member of the Omaha Tribe and Hi'si'da clan, with Ponca descendancy. He enjoyed playing pool, going to the casino, watching old westerns. He was an avid Elvis fan, and enjoyed listening to Michael Jackson and Motown music.

Victor is survived by his wife, Olivia, of the home; daughter, Winifred Price; step-children, Sarah Price and Phillip Price; sisters, Nettie Williams of Ponca City, OK, Joann Redday of Sioux Falls, SD, and Laura Buffalohead of Omaha, NB. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Matthew G. Buffalohead, Dale Ray Buffalohead, Thurman Lee Buffalohead, Calvin Buffalohead and Harley Buffalohead.

Pallbearers will be Dennis Buffalohead, Matthew Buffalohead, Jr., Thomas Buffalohead, Floyd Paul Buffalohead, Nettie Williams and Joann Redday. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ryan Buffalohead, Loren Buffalohead, Harley Swan, Floyd Redday, Jose Huerta, Allen Warrior.
