September 2, 1970 ~ June 21, 2019

Kent Wolfe was born September 2, 1970 at Ponca City, Oklahoma to Louis and Donna (Frieden) Wolfe. He died from breathing problems on June 21, 2019 in the emergency room of Baptist Memorial Hospital, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Kent inherited a crippling neurological disease that hit him in his mid 20's. Before he became crippled, he was a normal active boy and young man. He played youth soccer and could run faster and further than many of the other boys. He earned the Eagle Scout award and did a 50-mile backpacking trek at Philmont Scout Ranch. He played baritone in the Ponca City School bands and earned an associate degree from Rose State College.

Kent enjoyed a 5 day horseback camping trip in the Rockies, and he participated in martial arts and earned a black belt. He worked at Safeway and at the OSU library, and he supervised a group of handicapped people that worked in flower beds at OU. As the disease progressed, he walked with a cane, then a walker and then was confined to a wheel chair. He then became bedfast and spent his final years in bed with his knees lodged against his chest watching TV and dreaming about walking again and learning to repair wrecked cars.
