January 25, 1933 - August 25, 2020

Betty Louise White, resident of Ponca City, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2020. She was 87 years old. A funeral ceremony for Betty will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at Central Baptist Church. Masks are encouraged to be worn. Following the ceremony, she will be laid to rest next to her husband at Odd Fellows Cemetery. Honorary Casketbearers will be the Sunshine Class at Sunset Baptist Church. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at Trout Funeral Home on Thursday and Friday, September 3rd and 4th, from 8am to 8pm. Betty's family will be available to greet friends on Friday, September 4th from 6-8pm.

Betty was born on January 25, 1933 in Morrison, OK to her parents, John and Odessa Downey. On August 11, 1951, Betty married William Marion White in Ponca City. She worked in management at the Holiday Inn and as a consultant for Mary Kay. Betty was also a proud Air Force wife and homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Odessa Downey, husband, William M. White, and sisters, Thelma Waye, Dorothy Bryant, and Helen Bucklinger.

Survivors include her son, Billy White and wife, JoAnn of Ponca City, son, Douglas White and wife, Paula of Ponca City, sisters, Goldie Brulja of Gladstone, MO and Zola Chesney of Kansas City, MO, grandchildren, Kyle White and wife, Kayla of Ponca City, Cody White and wife, Christina of Ponca City, Caleb White and fiancé, Rachel Stine of Ponca City, and Joshua White and wife, Mallory of Shawnee, OK, as well as her mule, Melvin.

Betty's family would like to thank Hospice of North Central Oklahoma and caregivers, Karen Hill and Darrah Copple-Hays, for their compassionate care of Betty and her family during this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her honor to Hospice of North Central Oklahoma.
