Bobby Lee Sober, 76, of Ponca City, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Ponca City Medical Center. Bobby was born on July 1, 1937 in Ponca City to Bert W. and Frieda Alexander Sober, SR.

Bobby grew up in Ponca City and was a faithful member of Faith Tabernacle Church where he would be the first one to arrive for services waiting on the steps for the doors to open. He had been custodian at the Ponca Military Academy and Quo Vadis Motel. After he retired, he would keep in shape by walking at least 5 miles a day picking up cans along the way. Having a certain route to walk, he would help people along the way with anything they needed. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, 6 Brothers Rolla, Everett, Gerald, Larry, Jimmy, Kenneth and his wife Joyce Sober. 6 Sisters Grace, Marie, Reva, Betty, Earlene and Billie Jean.

Bobby is survived by brothers and sistersinlaw Garry Sue Sober, Bert Margaret Sober, JR. and Judy Sober all of Ponca City. Host of Nieces and Nephews and other relatives.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Faith Tabernacle with Rev. Don Stanton officiating. Burial will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Casket Bearers will be Kenneth Sober, Jason Sober, Rocky Hilton, Tommy Hutchison, David Hutchison and Troy Lawson.

Memorial Contribution may be made to Faith Tabernacle, 501 S. 5th, Ponca City, OK 74601.
