Curtis Mack Robinson (AKA Sleepy) beloved husband, father, grandfather, Great grandfather, brother and Friend was called home to be with his heavenly father on August 19, 2020.

Curtis entered this world on April 25, 1936 in Guthrie, OK born to Bob and Reba Robinson. Curtis grew up Guthrie, OK where he attended Faver High School graduating in 1954. He then entered the United States Army and served a tour of Duty in Germany.

Curtis married his High school sweetheart Ruth Lorene Glover on December 31, 1959 in Newkirk, OK. Curtis and Lorene made their home in Ponca City, OK where they raised their children Charlene, Ricky and Crystal. Curtis worked at Zales Jewelry and then later began his career at Conoco Inc.in 1961, Curtis was an oil blender and later a supervisor in the refinery. He retired after 32 years of service in 1993, after retirement he took on the task of car salesman at Jack Bowker Ford Lincoln Mercury for 10 years. Curtis had many loyal customers that traveled from out of state to buy their cars from him. Curtis wore many hats throughout the years. He and his wife Lorene owned and operated Curt's Barbecue. Where his slogan was you've tried the rest now try the Best. He had a barbecue sauce recipe that was top secret. Curtis and his family catered many events all over Oklahoma. Curtis also was proprietor for All American Bus Tours where he overseen many excursions to Tunica Mississippi. Curtis was often referred to as Mr. Big and Captain and was well known for the way he dressed. He loved his hats and suits. Curtis was a 32nd degree Mason with the Northwestern Consistory #84 Southern Jurisdiction, USA Prince Hall Affiliation Valley of Guthrie. Guthrie, OK and Webber Lodge #26 Ponca City, OK.

Those left behind to cherish his memories are his wife of 60 years Ruth. His children Charlene Cotton (Lee Cotton) Ricky Robinson and Crystal Robinson. Grandchildren Corey Coffee, Christopher Cotton, Nicolas Cotton, Chabree Robinson, Jazmine Robinson, Yakala Sharpe, Brycen Scyffore, Brailey Scyffore and Jada Robinson. Great grandchildren Taylor Coffee, Maddison Cotton, Zaniya Robinson, Brooklyn Cotton, Anthony Robinson and Corbin Cotton. A host of Relatives and Friends.

Curtis was preceded in death by his parents Bob and Reba Robinson and brother Van Robinson.

Funeral services will be held Friday August 28, 2020 at 10 AM at Ponca City Odd Fellows Cemetery.

The family requests that you wear mask and practice social distancing.
