Anna Fay Richardson, longtime resident of Ponca City, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2011 in Ponca City. She was 88 years of age.

Anna was born August 14, 1922 in Tazewell, Tennessee, the daughter of Charlie Smith Epperson and Laura Emiline Davis Epperson. She attended the Okemah, Oklahoma grade school and Ponca City High School. She was married to Arthur Richardson on August 1, 1939 in Ponca City. She had formerly worked at the T.G. Y. and KMart stores in Ponca City. She was a member of the Harmony Baptist Church. Her enjoyments included teaching children in Sunday school, other church activities and gardening.

She is survived by two children, Jimmy Richardson and fiance, Dawnette Stephenson and Barbara Transue and husband, Charles Four grandchildren, Brian Richardson, Lorrie Hazard, Terry Fitch and wife, Lori, and Randy Fitch and wife, Melanie four great grandchildren, David, Jeremy, Caitlin and Mark and his wife, Stephanie two great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents her husband, Arthur, in 1961 one infant daughter, Shirlee Ann one adult daughter, JoAnn Richardson 8 brothers and 4 sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 4, 2011 at the Harmony Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Ponca City I.O.O.F. Cemetery under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.
