Roy Muchow Obit

Roy Muchow, 86 years, of 122 South Elm died Thursday afternoon following a long illness.
He was born September 10, 1886 at Kale, Kansas, and made the run at the opening of the Cherokee Strip with his father, who homesteaded north of Ponca City, Ok.
He was married to Almeda McGiunnis at Winfield on Dec 15, 1925. They lived on a farm southwest of city, where they operated a dairy unit. Muchow retired in 1954 due to ill health.. At that time they moved into Ponca City.
Muchow was a member of the Ranch Drive Baptist Church and was a charter member of the Ponca City Milk Producers Association and of the Oklahoma Farm Bureau Insurance Co.
Surviving Muchow are his wife of the house, five daughters, Mrs. L. B. (Margorie) McKenzie, Houston. Mrs. Dorothy Green, Sacramento, Ca., Mrs. Geraldine Huffstutter, Santa Rosa, Ca., and Mrs. Mabel Voelzke and Mrs. Jean Temple, route 1, a brother, George Garrett, Placentia, Ca., two sisters, Mrs. H. R. Kidder, 603 south Fourth and Mrs. Clarence Shields, Arkansas City, six grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.
Muchow was proceeded in death by a brother, Frank and two sisters, Mrs. Roy Ulin and Grace Gill.
Funeral service will be 2:30 p.m., Monday in the Second Baptist Church and burial will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery under direction of E. M. Trout and Sons Funeral Home.
