Goodbye my friend. Myron Henry Milner, longtime resident of Ponca City, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2011 in Ponca City. He was 63 years of age.

Myron was born August 25, 1948 in Japan, the son of Obie Eldridge Milner and Veta Marguarite Hibbs Milner. His father was a member of the WWII Flying Tigers and died in a plane crash while returning to the states. Myron was age five when this happened and has lived in Ponca City since 1953. He received his education in the Ponca City Schools, graduating from Ponca City High School in 1968. He had been employed throughout the years with the Ponca City Hospital, Brauderick Printing, Smith Tool, Oklahoma Casting Company in Blackwell and ASC. In earlier years Myron was very mechanically inclined.

His enjoyments included his love of trains, motorcyles, fishing, hunting and his love for his cat Toby. When fishing with his friend Joe Walcot, he would always unselfishly help Joe with his wheelchair transfers. Myron was a very unselfish person and loved his friends unconditionally. Those friends included Joe Walcot, Benny Cantley, Jimmy Dugan, Harold Roberts, Keith Romine, Dean Floyd, Carl Hess and Danny Russell. He is also survived by a distant cousin, Marvin Clark He was also very grateful to Cookie Ortiz for her longtime counsel and financial advice. He also loved his friend Angie with all his heart.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at Grace Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
