A graveside service is planned for Lola Berniece Love at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 11, at Odd Fellows Cemetery under the direction of Trout Funeral Home and Crematory. Lola Berniece Love passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2016, at Willow Creek Nursing Home in Guthrie, Oklahoma. She was 89.

Berniece was born in Norman, Oklahoma on March 26, 1927, to Cecil and Gertrude Rowen. She attended Ponca City schools where she met Ralph “Grizz” Kenneth Love, whom she later married on June 2, 1946. The couple made their home at 1425 South Fifth Street for many years where they raised their children Steven, Janiece, Mark, and Douglas. She enjoyed cooking and spent most of her life taking care of foster children, her children, grandchildren and other members of the family.

Berniece is survived by sisters, Vivian Rhodes, of Ponca City and Thelma Baker, of Arlington, Texas; sons, Steven, of Norman; Mark, of Edmond and Douglas, of Ponca City. Also nine grandchildren; great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, her daughter, and her brothers, Kenneth Wade Rowen and Royden Eugene Rowen.

Members of the family will act as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers will be Mathew Gelino, Kevin Gelino, Philip Gelino, Raymond Rowen, Sharon Rowen, Erik Love and Wesley Scott Love.
