July 10, 1939 - June 13, 2020

Jane (Polenske) Linton, age 80, of Ponca City, Oklahoma passed away at her home on Saturday, June 13, 2020. A celebration of Jane's life will be held at the Trout Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. with Stuart Powell officiating. Following the ceremony, Jane will be laid to rest at Odd Fellows Cemetery.

Jane was born on July 10, 1939 to George and Pearl Polenske in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Jane and Louie Linton were married in Las Vegas on April 22, 1967. Their engagement was very short. It was obvious from the start that the relationship was meant to be. After the wedding while Louie was still in the Navy they made their first home in San Diego. Jane accompanied him on a 2 year tour of duty at Cubi Point in the Philippines where their son, Steve was born in 1968. After their tour in the Philippines, they were transferred back to San Diego where their daughter, Sherry was born in 1971.

Jane was very outgoing and loved to go on cruises and had many friends she called her Bingo Buddies.

She was reluctant to move to small town America (Ponca City) after only living in San Diego and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. But, once she was here, she loved it. She worked for 20 years at Albright Insurance as a claims specialist.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Pearl Polenske, her step father George Remmel, and brother, George Polenske.

Jane is survived by her husband, Louie; son, Steve; daughter, Sherry Tinkler; step sons, David and wife Beth and Rusty Linton; five grandchildren: Austin Linton, US Navy aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln, Casey Linton and wife Bree of Ponca City, Trevor Linton of Yukon, Parker and Mason Tinkler of Olathe, KS; four great-grandchildren: Matalie, Haisley, Rayley and Colden Linton, all of Ponca City and niece Linda Gaspar and husband Marty of Burlington, WI. Casketbearers will be her five grandchildren and Travis Jones. The Linton family would like to express their gratitude to Humanity Hospice for everything they did for Jane during her final days.

Memorial contributions may be made to Humanity Hospice, 1109 N Bryant Ave #100, Edmond, OK 73034 in care of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 West Grand Avenue, Ponca City, Oklahoma 74601. The family would like for you to leave memories of Jane at www.troutfuneralhome.com .
