James B. Lane, 67, Longtime Ponca resident died Sunday June 23, 2013. Jim was born on May 9, 1946 in Ponca City to J.C. and Mary Jean (Lechtenberg) Lane. He grew up in Ponca City.

Jim joined the Army and served his country honorably in Vietnam. After leaving the Army Jim worked for Smith International and 
retired after over 20 years with the company. He had a passion for reading, fishing and nature. 

He is survived by two daughters, Debbie and her husband Curt Johnstone of Newkirk, Maggie and her husband Shawn Pride of Florida, and two Granddaughters, Lucy and Madelyn Pride.

Graveside service will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, June 27, 2013 at Odd Fellows cemetery, with Rev. Jim Dehne officiating. Casket Bearers will be the American Legion Riders and Patriot Guard Riders. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Wounded Warrior Program c/o 

Jim Lane's Memorial at The Eastman National Bank P.O. Box 468 Newkirk, OK. 74647.
