Wilma Faye Hunt, longtime resident of Ponca City, passed Tuesday morning, March 9, 2010 at the Ponca City Medical Center. She was 81.

Wilma was born March 5, 1929 near Mulhall, Oklahoma, the daughter of William Melvin Dunn and Mary Alice Wilder Dunn. She was married to Willard Franklin Hunt on January 15, 1946 at Stillwater, Oklahoma. The couple made their first home West of Stillwater. Mrs. Hunt was a longtime employee at the Ponca City High School cafeteria prior to joining her husband as custodians at Woodland Elementary School. She was a member of the 55 and Older Club, SAMs Camping Club and longtime member of the First Church of The Nazarene. Her enjoyments included camping, volunteer work at the hospital, bowling, ceramics, and especially enjoyed her grandchildren and cooking for all her family.

She is survived by her two daughters, Linda Faye Hocker of Ponca City, and Gwendolyn Sue Campbell and husband, Michael, of Benbrook, Texas one sister, Verna Bryan and husband, George, of Oklahoma City four grandchildren, David Campbell, Plano, Texas, Duane Hocker, Ponca City, Denise Karr and husband, Colby, Fort Worth, Texas, and Scott Hocker and wife, Leah, Enid, Oklahoma eleven great grandchildren, Hailey Campbell, Jeremy Campbell, Adina Hocker, Stephen Hocker, Christopher Hocker, Isabella Hocker, Milana Hocker, Eva Hocker, Lauren Karr, and twins, Braden Karr and Campbell Karr.

She was preceded in death by her parents her husband Willard in 1989 six sisters, Bertha McNeill, Geneva Padgett, Ruth Dick, Pauline Davidson, Imogene Webb and Darlene Henderson three brothers, Cecil Dunn, Wallace Dunn and James Dunn.

The family will receive friends at a visitation time at Grace Memorial Chapel from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 10th. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 11, 2010 at the First Church of The Nazarene with Rev. Larry Hall presiding. Interment will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.
