Kieth DeWayne Hambleton, longtime resident of Ponca City, passed Sunday, September 14, 2014 at his home, with his loving family by his side. He was 76 years of age.

Kieth was born July 4, 1938 in Ponca City, the son of Gerald Kieth Hambleton and Winifred Biby Hambleton. At the age of 10 he began working for his dad in the trucking business, also Atlas Tank and Ponca Tank. He also owned and operated his own propane business, Hambleton Butane Gas Company for over 30 years.

He was a 1957 graduate of Ponca City High School. He then furthered his education at Cowley County College, Southwestern Oklahoma University and Northwestern Oklahoma University. He was married to Janet Eastwood in 1960 at Ponca City and to this union was born two sons, Wade Hambleton and Kenneth Kenny Hambleton. He then married Connie Frame on June 30, 1965 in Ponca City.

Kieth was an avid sports fan, watching all types of sporting events on TV following OU football, hunting, dancing, and playing Friday night card games with his friends. He was a former member of the Oklahoma National Guard, American Legion, VFW, Moose Lodge, NRA and Quail Unlimited. He was affiliated with the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and the Community Christian Church.

He is survived by his wife, Connie, of the home two sons, Craig Hambleton of Ponca City and Wade Schneider of Springdale, Arkansas two brothers, Vernon Gene Hambleton and Delbert Gerald Hambleton five grandchildren, Trevor, Jessica, Brooke, Rachel and Kaysan five nieces seven nephews other extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Winifred Hambleton one son, Kenneth Kenny Schneider stepmothers Misty Hambleton and Earlene Hambleton halfsister, Vicky Lynn halfbrother, Timothy D. Hambleton and niece Kelli Hambleton Ramsey.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, September 19, 2014 at Community Christian Church with Pastor Susan Payne presiding, assisted by Chaplain Mike Sweetman of Hospice of North Central Oklahoma. Interment will follow in the Ponca City I.O.O.F. Cemetery under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.
