Helen Deloris Bloxsom Colvin, 98, passed from this life November 23, 2019 in Ponca City, Oklahoma.

Helen was born to Lawrence and Ara Bloxsom on June 2, 1921. In 1938 she married Harry Strader. They had one daughter, Harriet Parker of Ponca City, and two sons Bill Strader of Conway, AR, and Harry “Jim” Jr. of Tonkawa, OK. Harry passed in 1944.

On April 28, 1945 She married Joe Colvin and they had six children, Barbara Rutherford of Ponca City, OK, Walter Colvin of Tonkawa, OK, Martha Hutson of Ponca City, OK, Tommy Colvin of Ponca City, Mary Colvin of Ponca City, and Robert Colvin of Grove, OK.

During her years here she worked at Ponca City hospital as a Nurses Aid, and in later years Mel’s Clothing store. She attended the Providence Baptist Church.

Helen is preceded in death by her parents, husbands, two grandchildren: Sharon Rutherford and Dustin Strader, two daughters: Harriett Parker and Barbara Rutherford, and thirteen siblings.

She leaves behind to mourn her loss, two daughters and five sons, nineteen grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Ponca City on Friday, November 29, 2019 at 10 A.M.
