Don Brunhoeber, 89, of Edmond, formerly of Ponca City, passed away Sunday, October 30, 2011 at the Mercy Health Center of Oklahoma City.

Don was born on July 12, 1922 in Ponca City to Edward and Leona Wright Brunhoeber. Don Graduated Ponca City High School in 1940 and then went to work for Midwest Creamery and joined the U.S. Air Force and served four years in London, England. Don was married to Ruth Young on October 1, 1949 in Ponca City. TO this union, 1 Son was born Scott Edward Brunhoeber.

Don went to work for CONOCO in 1950 in the Transportation Dept. in Ponca City. Don was transferred to Houston in the 1970s. Don retired from CONOCO and went to work for Fulbright Jaworski Law Firm in Houston as the Purchasing Agent and then retired in 1987. Don was a lifelong member of Albright United Methodist Church in Ponca City and he enjoyed singing in the church choir, camping, fishing, enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and enjoyed to talk.

Don and Ruth moved to Edmond in 2000. Ruth passed away on October 28, 2005. Their sonScott also preceded him in death along with his parents, 2 sisters Fae McCluskey and Lorene Walker.

Don is survived by 1 sister and her husband Donna Paul Buller of Edmond, 2 Nieces Pam Lessert of Ponca City and Sandra Davis of Macomb, 2 Nephews Tim Buller of Edmond and Paul Buller of Las Vegas. SisterInLaw and her husband Margaret and Jim West of Ponca City.

Visitation will be Wednesday 49 p.m, Thursday, 9 am9 pm, Family to greet friends from 12:301:30 on Friday, all at Grace Memorial Chapel. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 4, 2011 at I.O.O.F. Cemetery of Ponca City, with Rev. Scott Spencer, Officiating.
