Patsy Ann Bartlett, longtime resident of Ponca City, passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at her home. She was 79 years of age.

Patsy was born November 8, 1932 in Houston, Texas, the daughter of Jack Cutler Sr. and Clara Alice Land Cutler. She was raised and educated in South Texas and was very Southern to the bone. She was a 1951graduate of Giddings, Texas High School. She moved with her parents to Oklahoma in July of 1954 and had lived in the Osage the rest of her life.

Patsy could ride a horse before she could walk and became an expert horsewoman, an accomplished tap dancer from age 3 until age 21 and pianist. She could speak four languages, German, Spanish, Bohemian Czech and English and was an avid reader. She was a lover of American History and had put together the finest collection of American Antiques.

She was married to Leroy E. Potter on October 2, 1956 at Guthrie, Oklahoma. She was married to Howard W. Bartlett on February 27, 1969 in Oklahoma City. This happy marriage endured until his death on August 27, 1993. The couple traveled each year looking for Civil War items and antiques. After years of traveling the couple completed their dream home in 1990.

She is survived by one son, Sam Potter and wife, Donna, and granddaughter Elexas, all of Ponca City one brother, Jack Cutler and wife, Betty 3 nieces, Katy Art, Clearwater, Florida, Jackie Ingram of Ponca City, and Betty Faye Kosley, Cyprus, Texas 3 stepsons, Joe Bartlett and Frank Bartlett, both of Ponca City and Lee Bartlett of Dallas, Texas one stepdaughter, Linda Revard of Dallas, Texas and one foster daughter Brandi Bragg of Oklahoma City. She was preceded in death by her parents and one husband.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, January 30, 2012 at Grace Memorial Chapel with Rev. Chester Ward presiding. Interment will be in the Ponca City I.O.O.F. Cemetery under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.
