Rose Asbury longtime resident of Ponca City, Ok passed away Monday evening with her loving family by her side. She was 64 years of age. Rose was born December 17, 1951 in Ponca City, Oklahoma to Pat and Louise Buffalohead.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, October 8, 2016 in the Chapel of Grace Memorial Chapel with Tom Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Ponca City, OK. Arrangements are under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.

Rose moved to California as a child with her family and she graduated from Santa Paula Union High School in 1970. She met the love of her life Rick Asbury and they were married on January 20, 1979 in Santa Paula, CA. They moved back to the Ponca City area in1990, and she worked at the American Legion Children's Home until she retired. During her early years she enjoyed playing Softball, Volleyball and bowling. She was also always up for a good game of Cards and crocheting. Rose was known for spending time with her family whenever she had time to do so.

She is survived by her husband; Rick of the home; 2 daughters; Shawn Asbury and Susan Asbury Cox both of Ponca City, OK, 1 son; Shaun Asbury of Niagara Falls, NY, 3 sisters; Valerie Vick and husband Andrew of LaPlaz, LA; Patsy Carroll of Santa Paula, CA Priscilla Socia and husband Walter of Bakersfield, CA, 2 Sister in laws; Jan Buffalohead of Santa Paula, CA and Marie Poole of Newfane, NY; 4 brothers; Kenneth Ary and wife Gloria of Santa Paula, CA, Rene Buffalohead and wife Judy of Michigan, Jess Ary and wife Dianne and Mark Buffalohead and wife Karen all of Grand Lake, OK. 7 grandchildren; Shaylee Rose Taylor, Spencer Creppel, Madilynn Cox, Autumn Creppel, Alayna Creppel, Noah Freeman and Hunter Freeman and 1 great grandson; Ayden Creppel and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother; Patrick Buffalohead.
