Sharon Lee Anthony, resident of Ponca City, passed away at her home Saturday, September 12, 2009. She was 66 years old.

Sharon was born on January 18, 1943 in Barnsdall, Oklahoma to Alex Clapp and Norma Jean Bonner. She grew up in Ponca City and attended Ponca City High School. She dated Ernest Anthony while in high school and then the couple went their separate ways. After 30 years they reunited. They married on October 18, 1986 and have been together for the past 23 years. Sharon was a lot of fun to be around. She was a good person, had a good heart, a forgiving heart and had a love for people. She loved animals too. Sharon enjoyed feeding the birds and squirrels and especially loved her two dogs, Max and Murphy. She also loved reading mysteries and science fiction.

She is survived by her mother, Jean Clapp; husband, Ernest of Ponca City; children, Guy Swopes and wife, Cody of Ponca City and Kim Capeheart of Ponca City; grandchildren, Gregory, Tia, Kaitlyn, Ryan, Warren and Tori; and 6 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her Aunt Jewell and Granny Crockett.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 18, 2009 at Grace Memorial Chapel with The Rev. Dr. Wilford Wisel officiating. Burial will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery.
