Alice Eleanor Ciskowski Spoon, age 98, long-time resident of Blackwell, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday January 15, 2017 at Via Christi Nursing home in Ponca City. Rosary services will be held at 7PM, Thursday, January 19, 2017 in the chapel at Trout Funeral Home & Crematory with Deacon Richard Robinson officiating. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 am, January 20, 2017 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Deva Undralla officiating. Burial will then follow at the Newkirk Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory.

Alice was born on July 25, 1918 as the first child to Michael Ciskowski and Rose Svacha Ciskowski on a farm 1 mile north of Clyde, OK. She was raised in the Clyde area. Due to her father's passing at an early age, Alice helped her mother by looking after her five younger brothers. Laurence Spoon became her husband on May 5, 1943 at St. Joseph's Church in Tonkawa by Fr. Steven A Leven. Alice worked at the Coleman plant in Wichita during the war. After they were married they lived on a farm near Arkansas City for seven years. In August 1954, they moved to Blackwell, where they lived much of their adult life. She moved to Ponca City in May 2012. Alice was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Blackwell and a member of the Altar Society there. She also was formerly active in the Blackwell Saddle Club . Alice enjoyed spending her spare time in the garden, tending to her lovely flowers. Her lemon pies and divinity candy were well appreciated by those fortunate enough to have sampled them. She also sewed dresses for her granddaughter.

Survivors include her beloved daughter Joyce Reutter and husband Carl of Ponca City, brother, Jack Ciskowski and wife Eleanor of Ponca City, grandchildren Jeff Reutter of Broken Arrow, OK, Cindy Riggs and husband Mike of Ponca City, great grandchildren: Eric Riggs, Austin Riggs, Ciera Riggs, and Alec Reutter, great great grandchild Dodger Riggs. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers, Richard Ciskowski, Gordon Ciskowski, Edmund Ciskowski, and Marvin Ciskowski.
