Opal Marie (Bohl) Macklin

July 2, 1938 ~ August 5, 2020

Opal Macklin, 82, beloved Mother, Sister, and Grandmother was called to her eternal resting place on August 5, 2020. She entered this world on July 2, 1938, in Walsh, CO, born to George Everett and Odessa Alvena Taylor Bohl.

Opal grew up in Colorado, and she met the love of her life Arnold D. Macklin and they were married May 12, 1956 in Walsh, Colorado and then moved to Newkirk, OK in 1956. Opal enjoyed spending time with her family and spoiling grandkids, she also enjoyed sewing, doing needle work and having tea parties. She attended the Grace Tabernacle Church in Ponca City.

Those left behind to cherish her memories are 3 sons: Russell Macklin of Billings, OK, Randy Macklin of Arkansas City, KS and Dennis Macklin of Newkirk, OK, 2 daughters; Arnetta Adams and husband John of Newkirk, OK and Patty Frost of Newkirk, OK 1 sister; Joan Mease of Grand Junction, CO, 3 brothers; Kenneth Bohl and wife Esther of De Beque, CO, Ralph Bohl of Walsh, CO and Lawrence Bohl and wife Rosella of Guymon, OK and surviving are 10 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Husband, and 1 sister; Betty Nickerson.

Graveside services will be held 2 :00 p.m. Friday, August 7, 2020, in the Newkirk Cemetery with arrangements in care of Grace Memorial Chapel of Ponca City. Online guest registry is available at www.gracememorialchapel.net
