NEWKIRK, OK — Graveside service for Kenneth Lee Kling, 74, of Newkirk, will be 3 p.m. today in Newkirk Cemetery, with Jerry Smith officiating. Service is under the kind guidance of Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service and Cremation Directors.

Kenneth was born Jan. 7, 1939, in Blackwell, the son of William and Elizabeth Gibson Kling, and passed away peacefully on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, at his residence.

He was raised and educated in Blackwell, attending Lonestar Elementary and graduating from Blackwell High School with the class of 1957.

Kenneth married Sharon Ames on Dec. 29, 1973, in Arkansas City, Kan. They made their home in Newkirk and Kenneth worked for Conoco-Phillips as a machinist, retiring in 1993, after 20 years of service.

Kenneth was a member of the Moose Lodge.

Survivors include wife, Sharon of the residence; son, Justin Kling of Newkirk; daughters, Sarah Kling of Tulsa, Cheryl Kling , Kathryn Kling and Donna Mueller, all of California; granddaughters, Dylan Kling of Oklahoma City, and Chloe Beam of Tulsa; grandson, Conner Mueller of California; brother, Marvin Kling of Mulvane, Kan.; and sister, Maureen Swely of Wichita, Kan.

Kenneth was preceded in passing by his parents; sister, Lucille; and brother, LeRoy.
