Services for Thomas William Hardy were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 4, 2010 in Miller-Stahl Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Rex Roberts, minister of the First Baptist Church of Newkirk officiating. Interment followed in Newkirk Cemetery. Miller-Stahl Funeral Service was in charge of local arrangements. Family members served as casket bearers for the service.

Tom, was born February 15, 1946 in Ponca City to Paul William and Mary Elizabeth (Johnstone) Hardy and died Saturday, Dec. 26, 2009 in the St. Luke's Sugar Land Hospital, Sugar Land, Texas at the age of 63.

He moved several times during his childhood with his father being in the military, but the family settled back in Oklahoma, and he graduated from Midwest City High School in 1964.

After his graduation , he served his country in the United States Marines Corps.

Survivors include his two sons and a daughter-in-law, Brandon Hardy of Oklahoma City and Reece and Laura Hardy of Pearland, Tex.; his mother, Mary Hardy of Midwest City; one brother and sister-in-law, Paul, Jr. and Ellie Hardy of Kaw City; one sister and brother-in-law, Hazel and Don Wright of Enid, two granddaughters, Megan Hardy of Oklahoma City and Isla Hardy of Houston; and several nephews and nieces.
