Harold Jason Laughlin, Jr.
February 18, 1950 ~ October 13, 2022 (age 72)

Harold Jason Laughlin Jr., 72, of Ponca City, went on to be with the Lord on Thursday October 13th, 2022. Jason was born on February 18th, 1950, the son of Harold J. Laughlin Sr. and Clemmie A. Vest.

Jason joined the Navy in 1971 where he served as a Hospital Corpsman on the U.S.S. Anchorage LSD-36. He was honorably discharged as a Petty Officer Second Class (E-5) in 1977.

In his early years, Jason was raised in Newkirk, OK as the eldest of 7 siblings. His interests were baseball, playing his bass in a band, and being a little too ornery with his friends. He graduated from Newkirk High School in 1968. He then attended Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa, OK where he graduated in 1977. He also attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, OK where he graduated in 1979. Later in life, he attended Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, TX where he graduated in 1993.

Jason was a local chiropractor in Ponca City for the last several years. He loved his profession and was very good at it.

Jason was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Jason Laughlin Sr., and Clemmie Ann Laughlin, his younger sister Carol Laughlin, and his two sons, Austin and Trevor, who were stillborn.

He is survived by his sister Marsha and husband Jim Roe of Grenola, KS, brother Rodney and Brenda Laughlin of Houston, TX, sister Deborah and husband Jack Fortenberry of Bethany, OK, sister Jacquelynn and husband Jim Belasco of Tucson, AZ, brother Glenn and wife Susan of Corpus Christi, TX, his daughter Amy and husband Sean Mabry of Owasso, OK, son Brian and wife Sarah Roe of Ponca City, OK, daughter Ashton and husband Tyler Grant of Syracuse, UT, stepdaughter Ashley and husband Joel Hebensperger of Guthrie, OK. His grandchildren: Ashley, Les, Haley, Tally, Jhett, Harper, Addilynn, Ava, Emery, Quinn, and great-grandchildren: Sofia, Samson, Seth, Mason, Camden, Archer, Emery, and Hayden, along with several nieces and nephews.

There will be a celebration of life on Thursday, October 20, 2 p.m., at Connect Church, 1101 W. Grand Ave, Ponca City, with Pastor Mark Busch officiating. Burial will follow in Newkirk Cemetery.
