Wesley A. Webb of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died Friday morning October 10, 2008, at his residence in Blackwell at the age of 73 years.

Wesley A. Webb was born in Blackwell, Oklahoma, on December 23, 1934, to Walter A. and Sarah M. (Duckworth) Webb. He grew up in Deer Creek, Oklahoma, attending Nardin Elementary Schools and graduating from Deer Creek High School. Following his education he married Tressa Dale on May 18, 1956, in Blackwell and they settled in Blackwell where he began working for Weaver Oil Company. He later worked for the Blackwell Zinc Company and Jeffries Tank Truck before working for the City of Blackwell retiring from the Blackwell Fire Department. After retirement he owned and operated W+W Repair Service. He was a member of the Deer Creek Christian Church and the Tyner Tractor Club. He enjoyed woodworking and raising miniature donkeys.

He is survived by his wife, Tressa of Blackwell, Oklahoma; and a daughter, Kristi and husband Brent of Blackwell, Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Nick: beloved granddaughter, Colby; and a sister, Vella Jean West.

Services are scheduled for Monday, October 13th, at 10:30 a.m., in the First Free Will Baptist Church in Blackwell, Oklahoma, with the Rev. Kevin Bookout officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery in Nardin, Oklahoma.

Serving as casketbearers will be Chester Pope, Johnny Caughlin, Jim Smith, Mike Wynn, Hubert Clonts and Derry Paige. Honorary casketbearers will be Keith Jeffries, Harvey Paige, Rod Carr, Bill Moyer and Jerry Johnson.

A memorial has been established at the Oklahoma Heart Association in memory of Wesley Webb in c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home.
