Rex Ernest Hall of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died Monday, February 8, 2016, in the Specialty Hospital in Oklahoma City at the age of 65 years. Rex Ernest Hall was born on December 20, 1950, in Blackwell, Oklahoma, to Lorin Ernest and Ica Maurine (Fauchier) Hall. He grew up in Blackwell and attended Nardin Schools before transferring to Blackwell High School. Following his education he worked with his family in a custom harvest operation throughout the north and midwest United States. He married Barbara Joyce Wright on October 17, 1969, in Nardin and in 1972 they moved to Enid where he worked as a service sales engineer for Dowell. In 1977 they returned to Blackwell and he worked for his brother at Max Hall Well Service for thirteen years. He then worked for J. B. Tank until 1993 when he began working as a mechanic for the Blackwell Public Schools, retiring in 2004. He was a member of the Nardin United Methodist Church, Streeter’s Car Club and was an Blackwell F.F.A. Booster. He enjoyed camping and fishing with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed visiting the area casinos.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Hall of Blackwell; a daughter, Deanna Alvarez and husband Reynaldo of Blackwell; two sons, Heath Hall and wife Mindy of Blackwell and Craig Hall and wife Beth of Blackwell; a brother, Harold Hall and wife Becky of Nardin; and fifteen grandchildren, Dillon Hall, Trenton Hall, Brody Hall, Juan Alvarez, Katie Alvarez, Ashton Hall, Elena Alvarez, Madison Hall, Alicia Alvarez, Derek Hall, Rylee Hall, Austyn Hall, Brady Hall, Aidyn “12” Hall, and Aiden Coursey.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Max Hall; two nephews, Todd and Bret Hall; and a great niece, Michelle McKaig.

Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 12th in the Roberts and Son Funeral Home Chapel in Blackwell with Rev. Cap McIlnay of the Blackwell First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery in Nardin.

Casketbearers will be Dillon Hall, Trenton Hall, Brody Hall, Juan Alvarez, Chris Harris and Jeff Harris. Serving as honorary casketbearers will be Katie Alvarez, Ashton Hall, Elena Alvarez, Madison Hall, Alicia Alvarez, Derek Hall, Rylee Hall, Austyn Hall, Brady Hall, Aidyn “12” Hall and Aiden Coursey.

A memorial has been established in his honor with the Blackwell F.F.A. in c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 120 W. Padon, Blackwell, Oklahoma 74631.

December 25, 1953 - April 23, 2021

Barbara Joyce Hall, age 67 of Blackwell, Oklahoma passed away April 23, 2021 at Stillwater Medical Blackwell Ok. Barbara was born on December 25, 1953 the daughter of Clifton (Bud) and Velma Booniksen Wright in Enid Oklahoma, where she grew up and attended Enid public schools. She married Rex Hall on October 17, 1969 in Nardin Oklahoma. She worked as a nurse at Blackwell hospital for many years. Barbara enjoyed going to the casinos, camping and loved spending time with family. She was a loving mother, wife and grandmother who genuinely cared about everybody.

Barbara is survived by her children, Deanna Alvarez and husband Reynaldo of Blackwell, son, Heath Hall and wife Mindy Coursey of Blackwell, son Craig Hall and wife Beth of Blackwell. A sister Carolyn Williams and husband Ron of Lamont, 16 grandkids, 11 great grandkids and numerous nieces and nephews.

Barbara is preceded in death by her husband Rex, her mother and father, 3 brothers, Ray Dean Wright, Rosco Booniksen, and Gary Barrows and 1 sister, Sharon Splain.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Kendall Looper, Chris Harris, Jeff Harris, Jody Hall, Brian Scott, Jeremy Scott, Darrol Booniksen and Matt Lively.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Barbara will be laid to rest at Nardin Cemetery.The family is requesting, instead of flowers, to consider making a donation directly to Trout Funeral home.
