Marvin Carl Stout,85, resident of Ponca City, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2012 at his home.

The service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 17, 2012 at the Osage Heights Baptist Church with Pastor Harold Hutchins, officiating. Burial will follow at Longwood Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.

Marvin was born on Saturday, February 20, 1926 to William Carl Stout and Opal Velva White Stout in Freedom, OK. Marvin grew up in the Freedom and Woodward area, graduating from Tangier High School in 1945. He married Geneva Gene Loree McConnell on April 8, 1945 in Woodward, OK. Marvin was a thoughtful and wonderful man. The Stout family was blessed with two children Ramona and Leon. In 1950, Marvin started with Central Airlines in Woodward, OK and in 1957 transferred to Ponca City, OK. Marvin enjoyed farming, checking his cows, raising a garden, sitting on the porch with friends and family and playing and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Family was his greatest joy. Geneva passed away on July 5, 2010. He later married Della MaeSmith on October, 30, 2011.

He was a member of the Osage Heights Baptist Church where he had many friends and loved to sing in the choir.

He is survived by wife, Della Mae of the home one daughter, Ramona Elliott husband Joe of Ponca City, OK one son, Leon Stout of Oklahoma City, OK StepSonMartin Lee Smith of Ponca City. Three brothers, Billy Lee Stout of Woodward, OK William Charles Stout of Woodward, OK, and Herbert Neal Stout of Fairview, OK four grandchildren: Doug Elliott wife Achsah of Ponca City, Linda Tillman husband Fred, Tracy McArthur husband Gale, and Monte Stout wife Theresa Step Grandchildren Jimmy Staci Smith and Jeffrey Smith, 2 Step Granddaughters Kenya and Amanda Smith. 11 great grandchildren: Andy Elliott, Ashleigh Elliott, Samantha Elliott, Hunter Elliott, Jesse Tillman, Emmalyn Tillman, Timber McArthur, Carlie McArthur, Josie McArthur, Tres McArthur, and Zora Stout 4 Step Great Grandchildren, and one great great grandchild, McKera McArthur.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Opal Stout wife, Geneva Stout one sister, Evelyn Chase and one brother, Wesley Joe Stout.
