Herschel V. Baker

HERSCHEL BAKER BEARERS NAMED. ...Casket bearers, have been chosen for the funeral of Herschel V. Baker, 87, who died Friday after a brief illness. They are Lee Pierce, Leland Lear, Royce Dewitt, Harold Mullins, Clarence Mullins and Lloyd Burpo.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the First Church of the Nazarene, with the Rev. Dean Galloway, pastor, assisted by the Rev. Curtis Shook. Grace Memorial Chapel will be in charge.
Burial will be in Longwood Cemetery in the community where Baker made his home in this area. and in which he farmed for a number of years.

Survivors included his wife of the home; four sons, Delmar, 2106 Joe; Lee, Salinas, Calif., Albert, 2129 Mary, and Dan of Huachuca, Ariz: four daughters, Mrs. Owen (Ethel) Lear, Kirtland, NM. Mrs. Dwight (Ann) Beckelhimer, 1932 Mary. Mrs. Charles (Cleo) Pierce, Lovington, MN, and Mrs. Jesse (Mary) Davis, Route 3; A. daughter-in-law, Mrs. Theda Baker, 1601 Balke; two brothers, Joe, Sodner Apartments; and Marvin, 2021 South fourth; 21 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
