Charles Allen "Chuck" Bond

Charles Allen "Chuck" Bond, resident of rural Ponca City, passed away Monday, July 14, 2008 at the Ponca City Medical Center. He was 53.

Chuck was born January 26, 1955 in Inglewood, California, the son of Orville Bond and Alice Geneva Jackson Bond. He received his early schooling in the Ponca City schools prior to attending Northern Oklahoma College at Tonkawa. He also took trade welding classes and was also a truck driver with Sullivan Trucking and other truck lines. Chuck had been employed some six years with Sykes of Ponca City. His enjoyments included fishing, hunting, his grandchildren, spending time on his computer, watching science fiction movies and his beloved dog "Maddie".

He is survived by his wife, Debra D. Robbins, of the home; two sons, Nicholas Bond, of Ponca City; Ethan Bond, of the home; his three step-children, Crystal Blackburn, Mustang, Oklahoma, Justin Robbins, Ponca City, and Cassandra Robbins, Midwest City, Oklahoma; one sister, Patricia Wheeler and husband, Kenneth, Ponca City, and one brother, Mike Bond, and wife, Jeanette, of Enid, Oklahoma; 12 grandchildren, Diana, Devan, Katrina, Aaron, Noah, Emily, Anna, Colton, Riley, Preston, Doubtlyn and Lillian.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Diane Ray Bond, and one brother, John Arthur Bond.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, July 18, 2008 at the Pioneer Christian Church, 1701 East Hubbard Rd., Ponca City. Rev. Bob Weaver will preside over the services under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel. Interment will be in the Longwood Cemetery of Ponca City.

Casket bearers will be Tim Bond, Tom Bond, Chris Bond, Nathan Bouchard, Patrick Wheeler and Eric Anderson.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Charles A. Bond Memorial Fund, RCB-Pioneer, 14th & Highland, Ponca City, Oklahoma 74601.
