John Bartlett ~ ~ ~ 1895-1977

John Isaac Bartlett, of 524 W. Bridge, died Monday in his home. He was 82.
Services for Mr. Bartlett will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Westside Christian Church with Rev. Ed Brown officiating. Burial will be in the Longwood Cemetery east of Ponca City under the direction of the Roberts and Son Funeral Home.
Born May 2, 1895 in Salem, Mo. he spent most of his life in Missouri moving to Blackwell in 1971. He was a retired lab technician for the General Chemical Co. of East St. Louis, Illinois.
He was married to Dora Reed in 1948 at Rolla, Mo. Mrs. Bartlett survives at the the home.
Other survivors include three step-daughters, Fannie Offord of Blackwell, Gladys Evinger of Detroit and Cleadith Oiler of Diamond Springs, Ca.; two step-sons, Arlie Reed of Blackwell and Lyle Reed of Cleveland; a sister Ida Myers of Salem, Mo. and several grandchildren.
