October 29, 1947 - November 8, 1947

Pneumonia was cause of the death of Larry Gene Bales, two-week old son of Mr. and Mrs. Z. Z. Bales of Red Rock. The baby was admitted to the local hospital at 2 AM Thursday and died there about 6:45 AM.

The infant was born at the Ponca City hospital on October 29.

Besides the parents, survivors include three brothers and sisters, James Robert, 17, Donald Dean, 15, and Oleta Marie, 12, all of the home, and the grandmothers, Mrs. Effie Bales of Madill and Mrs. Bertha Cook of Ponca City.

Funeral arrangements were still pending Thursday noon at the Roy Hill funeral home.

The Rev. Max Armitage, pastor of the Second Baptist Church, conducted funeral services at 2 o'clock this afternoon for Larry Gene Bales, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Z. Z. Bales of Red Rock.

Rites were held in the chapel of the Roy Hill funeral home with burial in the Longwood Cemetery.

The two-week old baby died Thursday morning as a result of a severe case of pneumonia.

Surviving are the parents, two brothers and a sister, and the two grandmothers.
